EVA Tape
EVA tape is a single- or double-sided adhesive foam tape delivering strong bonding, impact absorption and vibration insulation. It is used with confidence for gap filling, sealing and surface protection in automotive, electronics, furniture and industrial applications. Custom-produced in various thicknesses, widths and lengths.
Key Properties
- Strong bonding performance
- Impact & vibration absorbing
- Water & moisture resistant
- Easy to apply
- Produced in various sizes
- Suitable for industrial use
Overview
EVA tape is EVA foam in tape form: instead of being cut from sheet, it's produced as a strip with adhesive on one or both faces. The material is identical — closed-cell, flexible, non-absorbent EVA — only the delivery form changes.
Tape form instead of sheet
Where an application needs a thin, long strip of EVA, cutting it from sheet both produces waste and gives no guarantee of a straight edge. Tape slit to width removes both problems and arrives ready to apply.
What EVA brings as a carrier
In an adhesive tape, the carrier decides performance. An EVA carrier doesn't absorb water, so it works in wet areas and outdoors; its flexibility keeps contact on curved surfaces; and because it recovers after compression it lasts on joints that open and close repeatedly.
One product, two listings
EVA Tape is listed both here — as a form of the EVA material family — and under Tapes, among the tape systems. Use the Tapes page to compare tape types; use this page to compare EVA's forms (sheet, separator, roll).

Frequently Asked Questions
- How does EVA tape differ from standard foam tape?
- The EVA carrier is closed-cell: it doesn't absorb water, absorbs more impact and recovers better. Choose EVA tape where there's humidity or repeated compression.
- Can it be used outdoors?
- Because it doesn't absorb water it suits humid and exterior conditions. Where prolonged direct sunlight is involved, specify a UV-resistant adhesive.
- Is surface preparation needed?
- Yes. Bond performance depends heavily on surface cleanliness; dust, oil and moisture all weaken it. The surface must be dry and clean, with a few seconds of firm pressure after application. Full strength usually develops within 24 hours.
