EVA Foam Tape
EVA foam tape delivers superior sealing, vibration isolation and gap-filling performance thanks to its closed-cell structure and high density. Offered in various thicknesses and widths with single- or double-sided adhesive, it meets gasketing needs in glass, metal and profile assembly. Its moisture- and temperature-resistant build lasts indoors and out.
Key Properties
- Closed-cell EVA structure
- Sealing and gasketing
- Vibration and sound insulation
- Single / double-sided option
- Various thickness and width
- Moisture and temperature resistant
Overview
EVA tape is adhesive applied to an EVA foam carrier. EVA's closed-cell structure keeps the tape from absorbing water, while its flexibility maintains continuous contact even on curved or uneven surfaces.
Why an EVA carrier
Compared with standard foam tapes, EVA offers higher impact absorption and better recovery. Because it holds its shape after compression, it sustains performance on lids that open and close and on joints loaded repeatedly.
The humidity advantage
Being closed-cell, EVA tape doesn't absorb water. In wet areas, on façades and in humid production environments it has a clear advantage over open-cell foam carriers.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How does EVA tape differ from standard foam tape?
- The EVA carrier is closed-cell: it doesn't absorb water, absorbs more impact and recovers better. Choose EVA tape where there's humidity or repeated compression.
- Can it be used outdoors?
- Because it doesn't absorb water it suits humid and exterior conditions. Where prolonged direct sunlight is involved, specify a UV-resistant adhesive.
- Is surface preparation needed?
- Yes. Bond performance depends heavily on surface cleanliness; dust, oil and moisture all weaken it. The surface must be dry and clean, with a few seconds of firm pressure after application. Full strength usually develops within 24 hours.
