Solar Cell Carrier Boxes

PP corrugated carrier boxes and EPE foam interiors for solar cell boxes. Edge profiles and a centre divider hold the boxes still throughout shipping, protecting the cells from impact and vibration. Boxes come in natural/clear, white or black PP corrugated sheet; the foam interior in white or black EPE/EVA. Made to your cell format, with ESD (antistatic) options and a durable, reusable build that keeps pace with your production line.

Overview

Cell transport boxes are compartmented containers made from PP corrugated sheet. Each part sits in its own cell, so parts never touch one another or shift inside the box.

What the compartments do

When many parts travel in one box, the biggest risk is them rubbing together. A cell structure physically prevents that contact. Counting also gets easier: full and empty cells are visible at a glance, so a missing part is noticed immediately.

A returnable system

Cell boxes are typically used closed-loop: they go out full, come back empty, and are refilled. Because they're durable that cycle repeats for a long time, and packaging cost per shipment falls. Collapsible versions take up little space on the return leg.

Design

Cell count, size and depth follow the part being carried. For delicate surfaces, foam or felt lining is added inside the cell. Lids, handles and stacking feet can be added to order.

Cell layout and fill

Cell count follows the shipping batch as well as the part. Where the quantity per consignment is known, matching the cell count to it means the box is either completely full or completely empty — and short counts become impossible to miss. Where partial fills are unavoidable, cells are grouped and marked.

Cleaning and hygiene

Food, medical and laboratory applications require containers to be cleaned regularly. PP corrugated wipes down with water and detergent and, unlike cardboard, neither absorbs moisture nor deforms. Being washable considerably extends container life in closed-loop systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is cell size decided?
By the dimensions and fragility of the part. Too wide and the part moves, too tight and it's hard to seat. Send your part dimensions and we'll work out the cell layout with you.
Can they be made collapsible?
Yes. A collapsible construction can be produced so they take little room on the return leg, which lowers transport cost in closed-loop systems.
Is lining added for delicate surfaces?
For polished or coated surfaces, foam or felt lining inside the cell removes the risk of contact marking.
