Wooden Crate
Built to order for domestic and international shipping of heavy, sensitive and high-value goods, wooden crates are designed after analysing the product's dimensions, weight and transport conditions. Interior fixation is provided with EVA, XPE, PU foam or wooden separators as needed. With export-standard production and an optional ISPM-15 heat treatment, they are a reliable solution for machinery, automotive parts, medical devices and defence industry products.

Overview
Wooden crates are high-capacity shipping containers for heavy and bulky loads — machinery, automotive parts, medical devices and defence equipment, where cardboard or plastic isn't enough.
ISPM-15 and export
Solid timber packaging used for export must be heat-treated to ISPM-15 and carry the IPPC stamp. Unstamped crates are refused at customs in many countries, meaning delay and extra cost. If you're planning an export shipment, say so at the outset.
Interior protection
The crate is the outer shell; securing the product inside is a separate design. A die-cut EVA or XPE insert holds the product in its recess and stops impact reaching it directly. However strong the crate, a product that moves inside will be damaged.
Construction options
Fully closed crates, open-slatted crates and pallet-crate combinations are the main forms. Heavy loads get base reinforcement and planned forklift access; lids are screwed or nailed depending on whether they need reopening.

- Is ISPM-15 mandatory for export?
- More than 180 countries require ISPM-15 compliance for solid timber packaging. A crate without heat treatment and an IPPC stamp can be refused at customs. Processed materials like plywood and MDF are usually outside the scope.
- Is the crate enough protection on its own?
- No. The crate is the outer shell; a product that moves inside is still damaged. It should be designed together with a die-cut EVA/XPE insert.
- Can crates be reused?
- Screw-lidded, reinforced constructions can serve several shipments. On closed-loop routes that lowers total packaging cost.
